The suction cups worked ok for a while, but eventually weakened, causing the basket to fall. This basket secures to the mirror by a large, clear adhesive strip. The strip looks like it can handle more weight than the suction cups without falling off. The directions were clearly written and also included directions for removal of the strip. If you have access to a level use it to draw a horizontal line to line the adhesive pad up with. I thought I was level but I was wrong and it looks terrible. And don't think you will get the pad off without a dryer or heat gun (on its lowest setting) cause you won't, not even right after you put it on. trust me on this. I don't have tons of bottles on it but I do have a couple weighty jars sitting on the shelf. I have taken hot showers and it doesn't seem to loosen the adhesive at all. Good price for a good product!
